On the 14th September 2015 Jeremy Corbyn announced his shadow cabinet

Dear Member and Supporter On the 14th September 2015 Jeremy Corbyn announced his shadow cabinet. The Campaign for an English Parliament has tirelessly continued to ask that the people of England be treated fairly. The Campaign Team for the CEP will be sending a letter to all the individuals named in the new shadow cabinet. Here is a draft. We shall await responses with interest. Dear xxxxx, The Campaign for an English Parliament would like congratulate you on your recent appointment to xxxx and would respectfully request that you answer the following questions. The people of England need to be treated with respect and fairness so there is an urgent need to know where you stand on answering the English question. Jeremy Corbyn is recognised to be a man that will speak his mind so we ask that you answer the questions in a frank and unambiguous manner • Do you support the establishment of an English Labour Party? • Do you support the production of an English Manifesto? • Do you support the creation of a Secretary of State for England who has parity with those of Scotland and Wales? • Do you support the creation of an English parliament? • Do you support the abolition of the Barnett formula so that UK funding can be allocated solely according to need? • Do you support further powers to the Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly? We believe that the questions put to you are of the utmost importance as there is little time left to save the UK and we believe that democratic recognition of England is the only way forward. Please respond to these question within 21 days otherwise we will publicise the obvious inference. Yours Faithfully Steve Davies Chairman Campaign for an English Parliament Office 01206 767729 The List of Shadow Cabinet members who will receive the letter and questions above: Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn MP Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, Party Chair and Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office Tom Watson MP Shadow First Secretary of State, Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills Angela Eagle MP Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer John McDonnell MP Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury Seema Malhotra MP Shadow Home Secretary Andy Burnham MP Shadow Foreign Secretary Hilary Benn MP Opposition Chief Whip Rosie Winterton MP Shadow Secretary of State for Health Heidi Alexander MP Shadow Secretary of State for Education Lucy Powell MP Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Owen Smith MP Shadow Secretary of State for Defence Maria Eagle MP Shadow Lord Chancellor, Shadow Secretary of State for Justice Lord Falconer of Thoroton Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Shadow Minister for the Constitutional Convention Jon Trickett MP Shadow Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change Lisa Nandy MP Shadow Leader of the House of Commons Chris Bryant MP Shadow Secretary of State for Transport Lilian Greenwood MP Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Vernon Coaker MP Shadow Secretary of State for International Development Diane Abbott MP Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland Ian Murray MP Shadow Secretary of State for Wales Nia Griffith MP Shadow Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Kerry McCarthy MP Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities Kate Green MP Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Michael Dugher MP Shadow Minister for Young People and Voter Registration Gloria De Piero MP Shadow Minister for Mental Health Luciana Berger MP Shadow Leader of the House of Lords Baroness Smith of Basildon Lords Chief Whip Lord Bassam of Brighton Shadow Attorney General Catherine McKinnell MP Shadow Minister without Portfolio Jonathan Ashworth MP Shadow Minister for Housing and Planning John Healey MP
