How British is the Great British Spring Clean?

Keep England Tidy. A cleaner, greener England starts with us.
Keep England Tidy

The annual Great British Spring Clean, organised by Keep Britain Tidy, is underway between 13th March and 29th March. But how British is it?

Keep Britain Tidy brands itself exclusively as British and people and organisations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland can join Keep Britain Tidy campaigns and pledges but Keep Britain Tidy spun off its Scottish and Welsh branches as independent charities following the introduction of devolution in those countries.

Keep Scotland Beautiful runs Spring Clean Scotland starting on 13th March and running until 24th April. Keep Wales Tidy runs Spring Clean Cymru starting on 13th March and running until 29th March.

Like so many organisations, Keep Britain Tidy is a de facto English body that clings on to its British branding and identity despite having no relevance outside of England.
