British Government Controlled English Train network, that’s not called England.

The English Train network not being called English.

Whilst the main political parties in Westminster are once again talking about the state of the ‘UK’ train network, they conveniently forget to mention that they are only talking about England, the Scottish and Welsh respective parliaments control the train networks in their individual nations, England is still denied the same democratic rights as Scotland and Wales in having our own national parliament to discuss and address England’s transport problems.

Even Labours idea for a new organisation to tackle the rail network in England is called ‘Great British Railways’ and makes no mention of England, even though they only control England’s

The democratic deficit, and the misleading use of the words ‘British’ ‘UK’ when referring to England is now common place and each time they mislead the electorate we must correct them.
